The Annual Community Art Show is open to the public, and cash prizes are offered in every category.

Early entry deadline Wed. May 6, 2026 (early entries are $5 cheaper).

Final deadline for entries Wed. May 13, 2026.

Opening reception and award ceremony Wed. May 20, 2026 5:00 - 7:00 PM.

Show hangs May 20-June 10, 2026.

Rules & Eligibility

  • 1st, 2nd and Honorable Mention awards will be chosen by the Judge(s) for each category, in each medium for Amateur and Professional. Each category must have a minimum of 3 entries, or categories may be merged. Youth awards will be given in two categories: two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork. The Judge’s decisions are final. Awards are made possible by the generous support of our sponsors.

  • Entrants will fairly classify themselves in the proper category. All entries must be original work of the artist, created within the last two years and not previously exhibited in CodyArts. All pieces must be framed with wire hangers (no saw-toothed hangers) and be ready to display. Limit of 4 entries in amateur and professional categories. 2 for youth. Photography category limited to 2 entries. Fiber Art entries not to exceed 25x25" and limited to 1 entry.

    Only one entry may be in the maximum size range of 24”x36” – 36”x48”, all others must be smaller. Mark the price for pieces not for sale as “NFS”. All artwork is eligible for awards. Entries must be suitable for family-friendly viewing (e.g. nude figures cannot be accepted). All unacceptable art will be returned at the artist’s expense.

    Entries delivered before the Early Entry deadline of 4:00 PM on Wednesday, May 6, will be subject to an entry fee of $20 each for amateur and professional categories.

    There will be a $25 entry fee for entries submitted and/or delivered between May 7 and the final deadline May 13 , 2026. Youth (age 18 & under) entries are still $10.

  • EARLY ENTRY DEADLINE is 4:00 PM, Wednesday May 6.

    Artwork must be delivered to the gallery by this time to qualify for the Early Entry fee rate.

    FINAL DEADLINE is May 13, 2026. Completed entry forms, appropriate fees, and artwork must be received by CodyArts no later than Wed., May 13, 2026.

    Amateur or Professional Entry Fees

    • $20 non-refundable Early Entry fee for each piece submitted and delivered by 4:00 PM Wednesday, May 6th.

    • $25 entry fee for entries submitted and/or delivered between May 7th and the final deadline May 13th, 2026.

    Youth Entry Fees (Ages 18 & under)

    • $10 non-refundable entry fee for each piece submitted (limit two).

  • Pieces submitted for sale should be priced retail and include framing cost, and commission. 35% commission fee will be taken on all CodyArts members’ sales, 45% commission will be taken on all non-member sales.

  • Deliver artwork to: CodyArts, 836 Sheridan Avenue, Cody, WY 82414. (307-587-3597). Non-member or NFS artwork must be REMOVED by artist or designated representative (verified in advance) no later than Wed. June 10, 2026.

    Return shipping: Artist to provide a Prepaid Return Shipping Label for return shipping.

  • Artists are requested to carry their own insurance. CodyArts cannot assume responsibility for loss or damage incurred during transport, installation, storage or display of artwork.

  • CodyArts reserves the right to take and use photographs of entries for the purposes of documentation, education, and publicity.

    We do our best to display everyone’s artwork in the main gallery during this show, but please understand when we have to creatively incorporate other spaces to accommodate all artwork.

    Entrants will be asked to confirm that their show entries are not copies of another artist’s work or of a published photograph, nor AI-generated.
