No experience necessary!
Students will learn about pastel surfaces, basic techniques used in mark making, alcohol wash techniques, and the use of underpainting with different media combined with pastel. Instruction will also cover use of thumbnail sketches to plan a painting and assess values, quick grid technique.
Paper and pastels will be provided, but students are welcome to bring their own pastels and preferred paper if they have them.
